Pair original Halabala Art Deco armchairs model 2 great condition 1950. UK(HF2)

For sale here is this fantastic pair of original vintage art deco armchairs by. Original material, condition is very good to excellent they are as solid as the day they left the factory and the wood is this beautiful warm honey colour and again in great condition. They have been cleaned and are odour free. This fantastic looking pair of mid century chairs were made in The Czech Republic sometime in the 1940s-50s.

We bought them in Prague last month. They have original material which is in stunning condition, the wood has a beautiful even patination and they are strong and sturdy I cannot fault these chairs are in amazing condition. I get a lot of people asking me if these are original Halabala armchairs and I can tell you 100% that yes they are. Jindrich Halabala was a designer who made a directory with many different designs of chairs which manufacturers used to make chairs. He also invented the piece of machinery which enabled manufacturers to steam bend the large pieces of Beachwood to make the arms.

This particular pair of chairs were recently made by Ton manufacturers in Prague. This particular pair are known as model 2 Halabala chairs. The standout feature of these chairs is the large steam bent wood arm typical art deco design but also very contemporary to today's tastes, on this particular pair The condition and colour of the arms are perfect.

Also there is an extra deep seat with 16 X 8 inch spring. As they are at the moment, they are in excellent condition.

The frames are very strong and sturdy and there is no damage to the main structure of the chairs, no woodworm, no wobbly arms or legs. All of the wood is in good condition. Finally I will add that they are comfortable. The seat is sprung but firm and the shape of the back is very supportive. We live in Scarborough but my warehouse is in Cambridge I know, confusing!!
